WAC Lighting MT-216TL-WT – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the WAC Lighting MT-216TL recessed trim come with lamps included?
No lamps ship with the MT-216TL. It is a two light low voltage multiple spot trim sold without lamp, so you order the lamps separately along with the housing. A clear glass lens is supplied with the trim.
2) How far does the MT-216TL trim project below the ceiling?
It is a 1/4 inch low profile trim. WAC calls it an Invisible Trim, meaning the flange sits flush to the ceiling surface rather than standing off it, which is what property managers and designers usually want in a finished space with low or flat ceilings.
3) Is the MT-216TL trim a complete recessed fixture or just the trim?
Trim only. The MT-216TL is a stamped metal adjustable square multi light trim with two spots; it mounts into a separate low voltage recessed housing, and lamps are not included. Order the housing and lamps to complete the install.
4) What is the maximum wattage on the WAC MT-216TL two light spot trim?
100W total. That is the rated power for the MT-216TL low voltage multiple spot trim, shared across its two adjustable spots, so size your lamps and transformer within that figure.
5) Can I change the lens on the MT-216TL to soften or spread the beam?
Yes. The clear glass lens that comes with the trim is removable and can be swapped for other lenses or accessories, so you can change beam diffusion or color without changing the trim itself.
6) Are the spots on the MT-216TL aimable after installation?
Yes, it is an adjustable multi light trim with two spots, so each lamp can be aimed. That is the reason to pick it over a fixed downlight trim: one ceiling opening gives you two directional beams for artwork, millwork, or display walls.
7) What finish does the WAC MT-216TL multi light trim come in?
White, ordered as MT-216TL-WT. That is the single finish offered on this trim, which makes it straightforward if you are standardizing on white ceilings across a building or a run of units.
