No, a dense foam cap is included. Set the base, plug the cap, pour, then pull the cap and seat the light. No extra blockout or plug to source.
5) Can I use this base in a paver or gravel installation instead of concrete?
It's built for concrete installation specifically, and the whole design assumes a pour around it plus conduit stubbed into the threaded ports. For pavers, soil or gravel you want a ground stake or sleeve intended for that method, not this pour base.
6) What finish does the 1000-PC-B pour base come in?
Black is the only option, which is the standard for a buried component since the base is fully encased in concrete once the pour cures and only the light is visible.
