Modern Forms F4-WC 6-Speed Bluetooth Ceiling Fan Wall Control, Single Pole Wallplate

The Modern Forms F4-WC is a Bluetooth-enabled wall control built for local operation of compatible Modern Forms ceiling fans, combining a single pole wallplate with full-function fan and light control in one device. Works with 2026 Elite Fan models and offers 6-speed fan settings, 0-100% light dimming, and Winter/Summer mode buttons from a single ABS-construction switch. It is UL, cUL, CSA, ETL & cETL Damp Location Listed, making it suitable for indoor installations and covered applications when paired with an outdoor switch cover. Additional switches let the same system expand into 3-way or 4-way multi-location control.

Key Features

  • 6-Speed Fan Settings: Dedicated fan control provides 6-speed adjustment plus fan on/off from the wallplate.
  • 0-100% Light Dimming: Luminaire on/off and 0-100% brightness dimming are controlled from the same switch as the fan.
  • Winter/Summer Mode: Built-in Winter/Summer mode buttons let the fan direction be reversed seasonally at the wall.
  • Expandable Multi-Way Setup: Additional switches (Part# F4-WCBT-WT) can be added for 3-way or 4-way configurations and programmed through the Modern Forms App as a 2-way or 3-way switch.

Modern Forms F4-WCBT-WT – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which ceiling fans does the Modern Forms F4-WC Bluetooth wall control actually work with?
The F4-WC works with 2026 Elite Fan models from Modern Forms. It talks to the fan over Bluetooth directly, so there is no hub or bridge to buy. If the fan on the job is not a compatible Modern Forms Elite model, this control is the wrong part - it is not a universal fan speed switch.
2) Can I put this Modern Forms fan wall control in a 3-way or 4-way setup with two switch locations?
Yes. The F4-WC expands to 3-way or 4-way multi-location control by adding switches, part number F4-WCBT-WT, which are then programmed through the Modern Forms App as a 2-way or 3-way switch. The base control itself ships with a single pole wallplate, so any additional locations are a separate order.
3) Is the Modern Forms F4-WC rated for a covered patio or pergola?
It is Damp Location Listed, with UL, cUL, CSA, ETL and cETL listings, so it is good for indoor use and covered damp locations. For an exposed spot like a cabana or pergola, install it in an outdoor switch cover. It is not rated for direct wet exposure on its own.
4) Does this wall control run both the fan speed and the light, or do I need a second switch for the light?
One device does both. The F4-WC gives 6 fan speeds plus fan on/off, and luminaire on/off with 0-100 percent dimming, from the same wallplate. It also has Winter/Summer buttons so the fan direction can be reversed at the wall instead of on the motor housing. No separate dimmer is needed for a compatible Modern Forms fan light.
5) What is the difference between the F4-WCBT and F4-WCUBT versions of the Modern Forms wall control?
The Bluetooth fan wall control is ordered under two model designations, F4-WCBT and F4-WCUBT. Quote the exact model code on the purchase order so the right one lands, since both are the same 6-speed Bluetooth control platform with the single pole wallplate.
6) Do I need to order a wallplate separately for the Modern Forms F4-WC?
No. A single pole wallplate is included, so the control is a complete, ready-to-install control point out of the box. You only add hardware if you are going multi-location, which takes additional F4-WCBT-WT switches, or if the opening is outdoors and needs a weatherproof switch cover.
7) What is the Modern Forms F4-WC switch body made of, and will it hold up in a rental or hospitality space?
The housing is molded ABS, a lightweight impact-resistant plastic. Combined with the damp location listing, that suits it to high-turnover residential, multi-family and hospitality rooms, including bathrooms and covered outdoor rooms where humidity is a factor.
8) Is there an installation guide for the Modern Forms F4-WC wall control?
Yes, Modern Forms publishes an installation guide for the F4-WC, hosted as a PDF alongside the product for the electrician doing the rough-in and the App pairing steps.
