Yes. The Huxley PD-565 uses a universal input driver rated 120V, 240V and 277V, concealed inside the canopy, so the same fixture works on residential 120V and on 277V commercial circuits. It is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in, so it needs a junction box at the ceiling.
2) Do I have to order a specific color temperature, or can I change it after it is installed?
Both work. The Huxley 4-CCT pendant ships pre-set to the color temperature you order (2700K, 3000K, 3500K or 4000K are the four choices), and the CCT can also be switched in the field afterward. That means you can standardize a building on 3000K and still re-set a fixture later without swapping it out.
3) Will the Huxley pendant work on a sloped ceiling?
Yes, it is sloped ceiling compatible. It hangs from a ceiling-mounted canopy on an electrified cable with push-pin height adjustment, so you set the drop on site rather than ordering a fixed stem length.
4) Can I hang this pendant over a bathroom tub or in a covered exterior entry?
The PD-565 Huxley is ETL and cETL Listed for damp locations, so it is suitable for bathrooms, covered entries and similar damp areas. Damp is not wet rated, so do not use it where it will take direct rain or hose spray.
5) What dimmers work with the WAC Huxley LED pendant?
Use an ELV or TRIAC (forward phase) dimmer. The Huxley dims smooth and continuous on those two types. It is not a 0-10V or DALI fixture, so if your controls package is 0-10V this is the wrong pendant for that circuit.
6) Is 2260 lumens enough for a kitchen island pendant?
The Huxley puts out 2260 lumens at 49W with a flood distribution, which is a lot of light for a single pendant. Over a typical island, one fixture covers the work surface; over a long run or a dining table where you want lower levels, plan on dimming it rather than spacing more of them. The 90 CRI module renders finishes and food accurately.
7) If the LED fails, do I have to replace the whole pendant?
No. The Huxley uses a replaceable LED module rated for 50,000 hours, so the light engine can be changed without pulling the fixture off the ceiling. That matters for MRO stocking: you carry a module, not a whole pendant.
