The JI-DEC is the end cap connector for a WAC J Track run. It closes off and terminates the exposed end of the track so the conductors are not left open, rather than feeding power or joining two sections. It is part of WAC's J Track collection and is a track connector, not a complete system on its own, so the track sections, power feed and heads are all ordered separately.
2) Will the JI-DEC fit WAC H Track or L Track, or only J Track?
J Track only. It is built for the WAC J Track profile, and WAC's H and L track systems use different track geometry and connectors, so a J series dead end will not seat in them. Match the letter on your existing track before ordering.
3) Can I use this WAC track end cap in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom with a shower?
No. The JI-DEC is rated for dry, interior locations only, so keep it out of exterior runs, covered patios, and damp areas like shower-adjacent ceilings. For those openings you need a track system rated for damp or wet locations.
4) What voltage track does this WAC dead end connector work on?
It is a 120V line voltage component, hardwired into the track run. If you are working with a low voltage track system, this is the wrong part.
5) How much space does the J Track dead end connector add past the end of the track?
The body measures 3 x 1.39 x 0.75 inches, with the 0.75 inch dimension being the height, so it sits nearly flush with the track and adds very little visible bulk at the termination. Useful to know when the run ends tight to a wall or a soffit return.
