WAC Lighting 36" Suspension Kit for H-L-J-J2 Track Track Component

120V Track systems are modular and can be designed for multiple applications in nearly any interior environment. Suspension kits are used to suspend track systems beneath a surface. Kit includes a power feedable canopy cover, hallow suspension rod to slide power cables through, and a clip to attach the rod to the track. Suspension rods are standard 18, 24, 36, and 48 inch sizes. Rods may be field cut to custom lengths, use an SK05 field shortening suspension rod adapter (sold separately) when field cutting rods to custom lengths. For slope ceilings, SK14 Sloped ceiling adapter (also sold separately) can be used with a suspension kit.

1) Will the WAC J-LOOP work on H track and L track, or only J/J2?
The J-LOOP suspension hardware is for use with H, J/J2, and L Track systems, all on 120V. So it is not limited to J track despite the name.
2) How many suspension loops do I need for a run of track?
Plan on two per 2 ft section of track, and two for every 4 ft on longer runs. Order the count by total track length before you order rods.
3) What comes in the WAC suspension kit, and do I still need a power feed?
The kit includes a power feedable canopy cover, a hollow suspension rod that the power cables pass through, and a clip that attaches the rod to the track. Because the canopy is power feedable and the rod is hollow, one of the suspension points can double as the feed location on a hardwired 120V system.
4) Can I cut the suspension rod shorter on site to get the drop I want?
Yes, rods may be field cut to custom lengths. When you cut, use the SK05 field shortening suspension rod adapter, which is sold separately. Stock rod lengths are 18, 24, 36, and 48 inches, so cutting is only needed between or below those.
5) What do I need to hang this track from a sloped or cathedral ceiling?
Add the SK14 sloped ceiling adapter, sold separately, with the suspension kit. The loop and canopy alone are not set up for a pitched surface.
6) Can the WAC J-LOOP be used outdoors or in a damp area like a covered patio?
No. It is UL and cUL Listed for dry locations only and rated interior. For a covered exterior or damp space you need hardware with a damp or wet location rating.
7) How much space does the canopy take up on the ceiling?
The canopy backplate is 1.39 inches by 1.39 inches with a 1.39 inch depth, and overall height is 3 inches. That is a small footprint, so it sits tight to the surface without a large escutcheon ring to match on adjacent runs.
8) What finishes does the WAC J-LOOP suspension loop come in for matching existing track?
Three finishes: black (J-LOOP-BK), brushed nickel (J-LOOP-BN), and white (J-LOOP-WT). Match the finish to the track itself, since the canopy and rod are visible below the ceiling.
9) Is the WAC suspension loop a complete track lighting system?
No. It is a mounting component only, listed as not a complete system. You still need the track sections, a power feed connection, connectors, and the heads or fixtures.
10) What is the suspension loop made of?
