1) What does the WAC Lighting LI connector do in an L Track run?
The LI is an I connector for WAC Lighting's L Track system, a straight inline joiner used to continue a track run end to end while carrying power through the joint. It is a track connector component, not a complete system on its own, so you still order the track sections, a feed, and your heads separately.
2) Will the WAC L Track I connector work on Halo or Juno track?
No. The LI connector is built for WAC Lighting's L Track profile only. L, H, and J track profiles use different contact geometry, so an L Track connector will not seat or make contact in another manufacturer's extrusion. Match the connector to the track family already on the ceiling.
3) Can I use this L Track connector in a covered exterior soffit or a damp bathroom?
No. The LI connector is rated for dry interior locations only. For a covered porch, soffit, or a shower area you need a damp or wet location rated system instead.
4) How much space does the WAC LI connector add to a track run?
Plan for a 3 inch length along the run, with a 1.39 inch width and 0.75 inch height at the joint. On a tight ceiling layout or a run that has to land on a specific fixture spacing, add that 3 inches into your dimension string before you cut or order track lengths.
5) What voltage is the WAC LI track connector rated for?
120V line voltage, hardwired. It is not a low voltage component, so it belongs in a 120V L Track run fed from a standard branch circuit.
6) What finishes does the WAC L Track I connector come in, and can I match my existing track?
Three finishes: black (LI-BK), brushed nickel (LI-BN), and white (LI-WT). Order the connector in the same finish as the track sections and heads so the joint does not read as a different colour band in the middle of the run.
7) Is the WAC LI track connector UL listed for commercial work?
The LI carries UL and cUL safety listings, which covers both US and Canadian installations. Note that it is not Energy Star and not Title 24 compliant, so if your jurisdiction requires Title 24 documentation on the lighting package, that compliance has to come from the fixtures and controls, not this connector.
8) Can the LI connector be flipped to reverse polarity on the track?
No. The LI is not a reversible mounting component, so it installs one way only. Keep the circuit orientation consistent down the whole L Track run or the heads past the joint will not energize.
