1) Will the LFLX connector work with 277V track or only 120V?
120 volts. The LFLX is rated for 120V L Track, so it is not the part for a 277V run in a commercial space. If the drawing calls for 277V track, specify track and components rated for that voltage instead. It is a hardwired component, not something that plugs in.
2) Can I use this WAC track connector outdoors or in a covered patio or bathroom?
No. The LFLX carries a Dry location rating and is listed for interior use, so keep it out of damp and wet locations, including covered exterior soffits, open porches and shower areas. For anything exposed to moisture you need a fixture and system rated damp or wet.
3) How much ceiling space does the WAC L Track flexible connector take up?
The connector measures 11 inches long, 1.63 inches wide and 0.75 inches high, and the backplate matches those figures at 11 inches wide, 1.63 inches deep and 0.75 inches high. That 11 inch length is the span you need to allow between the two track sections it joins, so lay out the run with that gap accounted for. Its 0.75 inch height keeps it close to the ceiling plane, in line with the track profile.
4) What finishes does the WAC LFLX flexible track connector come in, and can I match it to my existing track?
Three finishes: Black (LFLX-BK), Brushed Nickel (LFLX-BN) and White (LFLX-WT). Order the one matching the L Track sections already installed so the joint does not stand out. Black and White are the common ceiling matches; Brushed Nickel suits retail and residential runs finished to match the heads.
5) Is the WAC LFLX track connector UL listed for a commercial job?
It carries UL and cUL safety listings, which covers both US and Canadian installs. It is not Energy Star rated and not CEC Title 24 compliant, and it is not ADA compliant, so if your project has a Title 24 or ADA requirement on the lighting package, that has to be met by the fixtures and controls rather than by this connector.
6) Can I mount the LFLX connector either way up on the track?
No, it is not a reversible mounting component. It installs in one orientation, so set the track polarity and the connector direction before you fix anything, particularly on a run that turns and comes back on itself.
7) What is the WAC flexible track connector made of, and will it hold up in a retail space?
Aluminum body, same material family as the track extrusion it joins, which keeps weight down on a ceiling-mounted run and resists corrosion in conditioned interior space.
