1) What finishes does the WAC Lighting 4011-27 horizontal step light come in?
Four finishes: Bronze on Brass (4011-27BBR), Black on Aluminum (4011-27BK), Bronze on Aluminum (4011-27BZ) and White on Aluminum (4011-27WT). The brass-bodied version is the one to specify for coastal or heavy-exposure sites; the other three are aluminum bodies. All four are the same 2700K unit, so mixing finishes across a walkway or stair run will not change the light color.
2) What color temperature is the WAC 4011-27 step light, and can I get it in a cooler white?
2700K warm white, and that is the only color temperature the 4011-27 is built in. Every finish carries the same 2700 rating. If your site standard is 3000K or higher, the 4011-27 is the wrong model number to order.
3) Does the WAC 4011-27 step light run on line voltage or does it need a transformer?
It is a 12V LED fixture, so it runs off a low voltage landscape transformer rather than being wired directly to a 120V branch circuit. Budget for a 12V supply and the low voltage cable run as part of the job; the fixture itself does not include one.
4) Is the 4011-27 a stair riser light or a wall-mounted light?
Both. WAC builds it as a horizontal step and wall light, so it is used in stair risers, on retaining walls, and on hardscape faces where you want a low sideways wash across the tread or path rather than a downlight. The horizontal format spreads light out across the surface instead of pooling it directly below.
5) I need to order more of the same step light for a second stairway. What part number do I give my supplier?
Order by the finish-specific number, not the base 4011-27. Bronze on Brass is 4011-27BBR, Black on Aluminum is 4011-27BK, Bronze on Aluminum is 4011-27BZ, and White on Aluminum is 4011-27WT. Pull the suffix off the existing fixture or its carton so the new units match the ones already installed.
6) Is the WAC 4011-27 part of the WAC Landscape line or the indoor decorative line?
