1) What does the WAC Lighting T24-WE-IC joiner cable actually do in a 24V strip light run?
It is a male-to-female extension link for WAC Lighting's 24V strip light system. You use it to carry power from one strip section to the next without cutting or soldering, so you can jump a run across a corner, a cabinet gap, a door opening, or a stretch of wall where no light is wanted. The male end plugs into the feed side and the female end accepts the next strip or fixture, so the run stays continuous electrically while breaking visually.
2) Can the T24-WE-IC joiner cable be used outdoors, or is it interior only?
Both. The T24-WE-IC joiner is rated for indoor and outdoor use, so it can run under a soffit, along a deck stair, or in a cove inside the same way. That matters on landscape and exterior facade jobs where an interior-only jumper would be the weak point in an otherwise wet-location run.
3) Do I need one of these joiners between every strip section, or only in certain spots?
Only where you need to break the run. Strip sections that butt together can be connected directly; the T24-WE-IC is for when there is physical distance between one section and the next, or between the power feed and the first section. Count your gaps during layout, measure each one, and pull the matching length from the 2 through 240 inch range so you are not coiling excess cable inside a channel.
4) Is this joiner cable good for line voltage, or is it strictly low voltage?
Strictly low voltage. The T24-WE-IC is a 24V DC accessory and belongs on the secondary side of a driver or transformer, never on a 120V circuit. If you are wiring the supply side, that run is line voltage and needs the appropriate building wire and a listed enclosure instead.
5) What color is the WAC T24 joiner cable jacket, and will it show on an exposed run?
Black is the only finish offered across all seven lengths. On dark aluminum channel, a bronze facade, or a black landscape fixture it disappears; on a white cabinet interior or a light-colored cove it will read, so plan to tuck it behind the fascia or inside the channel on those installs.
