1) Will the WAC Summit LED202 track head fit my existing track, or do I need a specific type?
The Summit LED202 is built with a J-type track head mount, so it drops onto J track systems. It is not a complete lighting system on its own, so you supply the track, feed, and ends. Finishes are black (J-LED202-30-BK) and white (J-LED202-30-WT).
2) Can I dim the WAC LED202 Summit track heads, and do they need a separate driver?
Dimmable, yes. The LED202 uses AC LED technology with an integrated LED module at 120V, so there is no remote driver or transformer in the circuit. Lamping is included (one LED module per head) and nothing is relamped with a conventional bulb base.
3) Can the Summit ACLED track head be used in a covered porch or bathroom?
No. The Summit LED202 is rated for dry interior locations only. For a covered entry, open porch, or a shower-adjacent position, use a damp or wet location rated fixture instead.
4) Is the WAC Summit LED202 ADA compliant or Title 24 compliant for a commercial job?
Neither. The Summit LED202 track head is not ADA compliant and not Title 24 compliant. It does carry UL and cUL safety listings and is Energy Star rated. If your specification calls for Title 24 compliance on the lighting package, this head will not satisfy it.
5) How much does the LED202 Summit head project below the track, and will it clear my ceiling fixtures?
The head measures 6.13 inches in height with a 2.63 inch diameter body and an overall width of 3.75 inches. That 6.13 inch drop is what you need to account for in sloped ceilings, soffits, or anywhere headroom under the track is tight.
6) What finishes does the WAC Summit LED202 track head come in for matching existing heads?
Two finishes: black and white, both in the 15 watt, 3000K configuration. If the other heads on the run are black J track heads, order J-LED202-30-BK; white track and ceiling calls for J-LED202-30-WT.
7) Can the Summit LED202 head be aimed up as well as down on the track?
Yes, the LED202 has reversible mounting, so the head can be oriented either direction on the track rather than only aiming down. Useful for wall washing or uplighting a coffered ceiling off the same track run.
