1) Can the WAC Lotos 2 inch square 3-light recessed kit be installed in an existing ceiling without opening up the drywall?
Yes. The Lotos LED recessed kit uses a remote driver instead of a large housing, so it goes in as a remodel install through the ceiling opening. That's the whole point of the wafer-thin format: no can, no housing box to fish into a finished ceiling. The driver ships with the kit, so there's no separate driver to source.

4) What dimmer type do I need for the WAC Lotos LED downlight, and how low does it dim?

Match the dimmer to the driver type and stay inside the dimmer's own minimum load, since a 12W fixture is a small load for some older dimmers.
5) Can I aim the WAC Lotos 3-light square fixture at artwork or a feature wall, or does it only shine straight down?
The adjustable version has a rotatable multi-axis gimbal ring that pivots 360 degrees on a hinge, and each of the three heads adjusts individually. So one square trim can wash a wall with two heads and drop a third straight down. If you want fixed straight-down general ambient light instead, the downlight version of Lotos is the one to order, not the adjustable.
6) How much light does the 3-light Lotos square put out, and what color temperature?
530 delivered lumens at 3000K, with a CRI of 90. That's a warm white, the same tone most residential and hospitality spaces are trimmed to, and 90 CRI is high enough for retail display, paint and finish work, and anywhere color has to read true. Rated life is 50,000 hours.
