WAC Lighting AB Portos 4-CCT LED Mini-Pendant, Aluminum and Ribbed Glass

The WAC Lighting Portos 4-CCT LED Mini-Pendant recalls the grace of early modern design, reimagined for today with an Aluminum body and a cylindrical ribbed Glass diffuser that lets light glimmer through the fluted surface. This mini-pendant delivers 1000 lumens at 15W with a 90 CRI High Powered Replaceable LED, and its 4-CCT selectable color temperature (2700-3000-3500-4000K) lets installers match the light to the space. Built on a Universal Voltage driver (120V-220V-277V) concealed in the backplate, Portos is ETL & cETL Listed for Damp locations and ADA Compliant, making it suitable for both residential and light commercial installations.

WAC Lighting PD118620-AB – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can the WAC Portos mini-pendant be installed on a covered porch or in a bathroom?
The Portos LED mini-pendant is ETL and cETL Listed for damp locations, so it works over a covered porch, a screened area, or a bathroom where it will see humidity but no direct water contact. It is not wet-location rated, so keep it out of anywhere exposed to rain or spray.
2) Will the Portos pendant work on 277V commercial power, or is it 120V only?
It runs on a universal voltage driver covering 120V, 240V and 277V, concealed in the backplate. That means the same fixture can be specified for a residential 120V kitchen island and a 277V commercial lobby circuit without ordering a different part.
3) Do I have to pick a color temperature when I order the Portos pendant?
No. The Portos is a 4-CCT selectable fixture, switchable on site between 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. One SKU covers all four, so an installer can set warm 2700K for a dining area or 3500K/4000K for a commercial space, and a property manager can stock a single fixture and match whatever the other rooms are running.
4) What dimmer works with the WAC Portos LED mini-pendant?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmer. Standard magnetic low voltage or older incandescent-only controls are not the listed compatibility, and mismatching the control is the usual cause of flicker or a dead bottom end on an integrated LED pendant.
5) Does the Portos pendant need a separate bulb or LED driver ordered?
Nothing extra to order. The LED module and the universal driver ship with the fixture, and the light engine is replaceable rather than sealed in, so a maintenance crew can swap the engine down the road instead of replacing the whole pendant. It is a hardwired fixture, so it needs a ceiling junction box.
6) How much light does one Portos mini-pendant put out, and how many do I need over an island?
Each Portos puts out 1000 lumens at 15W with a flood distribution and 90 CRI. That is ambient-level output for a mini-pendant, so over a typical kitchen island most installers run two or three spaced along the run rather than relying on one. The 90 CRI matters if the pendants are over a work surface or in a hospitality space where food and finishes need to read accurately.
7) Does the Portos pendant meet California Title 24 and Title 20 requirements?
Yes, the Portos is CEC listed and compliant with Title 24 and Title 20, and it is ADA compliant. For a California project or a public-facing institutional job, that combination plus the ETL/cETL listing is generally what the inspector is looking for on a hardwired decorative pendant.
8) What finish and materials does the Portos mini-pendant come in?
Aged Brass is the finish on this one, over an aluminum body with a cylindrical ribbed glass diffuser. The fluted glass scatters the light through the ribs rather than throwing a hard edge, which is what gives it the mid-century modern look it is styled for.
9) How long does the LED in the Portos pendant last before it needs service?
The high-powered LED engine is rated for 50,000 hours. In a hospitality or commercial space running roughly 12 hours a day that is over eleven years of service, and because the engine is replaceable the fixture and finish stay in place when it does come due.
