WAC Lighting PD-23527-27-BK – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can the WAC Quatrro PD-235 pendant be installed on a sloped ceiling?
Yes. The Quatrro PD-235 ships with three 12 inch extension rods and one 6 inch rod, and the description calls out sloped ceiling compatibility. Additional extension rods are sold separately if you need more drop than the included set gives you. It is a ceiling-mounted, hardwired fixture, so plan on a junction box at the mounting point.
2) What voltage does the Quatrro PD-235 LED pendant run on, and do I need a different model for 277V?
One model covers all three. The PD-235 uses a universal input driver rated 120V, 240V and 277V, concealed in the canopy, so the same fixture works on a residential 120V circuit or a 277V commercial lighting circuit without ordering a separate version.
3) Will the WAC Quatrro pendant work with my existing dimmers?
It dims on electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC (forward phase) dimmers. If the room is on an older magnetic low voltage or 0-10V control, you will need to swap the control to an ELV or TRIAC type to dim this fixture.
4) Do I have to pick the color temperature when I order the Quatrro PD-235, or can it be changed later?
Both. The Quatrro is a selectable 4-CCT fixture covering 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, ordered pre-selected at one of those settings and adjustable in the field afterward. That means you can standardize a building at 3000K now and re-set a fixture later without buying new hardware.
5) Can the Quatrro PD-235 pendant go over a bathroom vanity or in a covered exterior entry?
It carries a damp location rating, ETL and cETL listed, so a bathroom, covered porch or breezeway where it is shielded from direct water is fine. Do not use it anywhere it will take direct rain or spray, that calls for a wet-rated pendant.
6) What finishes does the WAC Quatrro PD-235 come in?
Two: Black and Aged Brass, both with the same frosted glass spheres on an aluminum center stem. If you are matching other openings or fixtures in a building, those are the choices, and each is offered across the full 2700K to 4000K CCT range.
7) Is the LED in the Quatrro pendant replaceable, or is the whole fixture disposable when it fails?
The LED module is replaceable, which matters for MRO and property maintenance. It is rated 50,000 hours at 30W and 2720 lumens, and the module is included with the fixture, so there is no lamp to source at install.
8) Is 2720 lumens enough for a kitchen island or dining table?
For a single pendant over a dining table or a standard island, 2720 lumens at 30W is substantial output, and the frosted glass spheres spread it as a flood rather than a tight beam, so you get diffused light instead of a hot spot on the countertop. At 90 CRI, color rendering is high enough for kitchen and food prep work.
9) Does the Quatrro PD-235 pendant meet CEC Title 24 for a California job?
Yes, the PD-235 is listed as CEC Title 24 compliant. Note that it is not Energy Star rated and not ADA compliant, so if your scope calls for ADA-compliant fixtures in a corridor or similar, a pendant is the wrong form factor for that location anyway.
10) Is the Quatrro PD-235 a plug-in pendant or does it need to be hardwired?
Hardwired only. There is no cord and plug option, so an electrician needs a junction box at the ceiling location, and the canopy houses the driver. Plan the circuit for 30W per fixture.
