Two beam choices are offered on the R3ASDT square trim: F (40 degrees) for general room wash, and N (26 to 28 degrees) for a tighter narrow flood. The beam letter sits right after the model code in the part number, so R3ASDT-F930-BK is the 40 degree version and R3ASDT-N930-BK is the narrow one.
2) Which color temperatures are available in the R3ASDT Aether 3.5 inch square trim?
Four color temperatures: 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. All four come in the 85 CRI build; 2700K and 3000K are also offered in a 90 CRI build. So if you need high CRI, you are choosing between warm 2700K and 3000K only, with 3500K and 4000K limited to 85 CRI.
3) Can I get the WAC Aether square 3.5 inch downlight trim in white or any finish other than black?
Black is the only trim finish offered on the R3ASDT square trim. Every part number ends in BK. If a project calls for matched white trims across the ceiling, this one will not blend in, and you would need a different Aether trim option.
4) I need tight accenting over a conference table and softer fill around the room. Can I mix beams in the same Aether 3.5 inch square trim?
Yes. The same square trim body is offered in both the 26 to 28 degree narrow beam and the 40 degree flood, in matching color temperatures, so you can run N units over the table and F units for general fill and the ceiling still reads identically in black. Keep the color temperature code the same across both, for example N930 and F930, so the two beams do not shift against each other.
