WAC Lighting WAC-3031-27 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the WAC 3031-27 deck light run on line voltage or does it need a transformer?
It is a 12V fixture, so it runs off a low voltage landscape transformer, not a 120V circuit. Budget transformer VA for the total run and size your cable for the distance from the transformer to the last fixture on the line.
2) What finishes does the WAC Lighting 3031-27 deck and patio light come in?
Four finishes are offered on the 3031-27 rectangular deck light: Bronze on Brass (3031-27BBR), Black on Aluminum (3031-27BK), Bronze on Aluminum (3031-27BZ), and White on Aluminum (3031-27WT). If you are matching rails, posts or stair risers across a property, the two bronze options differ in base metal, brass versus aluminum, which is worth noting for coastal or high-moisture installs.
3) What color temperature is the WAC 3031-27 landscape light, and can I get it in a cooler white?
The 3031-27 is a 2700K warm white light, and that is the only color temperature it is built in. All four finishes carry the same 2700K output, so mixing finishes across a deck will not change the light color. If your spec calls for 3000K or cooler, you need a different WAC Landscape model number.
4) What is the WAC 3031-27 actually used for on a deck?
It is a rectangular low voltage LED accent fixture from the WAC Landscape line, intended for deck and patio work: stair risers, rail posts, under-cap and hardscape wall lighting where you want the source hidden and a wash of warm light on the walking surface. It is an accent and wayfinding light, not an area or flood light.
5) Can I order the WAC 3031-27 in white with a different bulb color?
No. The White on Aluminum version is sold as 3031-27WT at 2700K only, and the LED is integral to the fixture rather than a replaceable lamp you can swap for another color. Finish is the only choice you make when ordering.
