WAC Lighting WS-85407-27-BK – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What color temperatures does the WAC Lighting WS-85407 Moonglow sconce come in?
The Moonglow WS-85407 is built in four color temperatures: 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. The temperature is fixed at the factory and shows up in the middle of the part number, so WS-85407-27 is the 2700K build, -30 is 3000K, -35 is 3500K and -40 is 4000K. For residential and hospitality guest spaces 2700K or 3000K keeps the warm look; 3500K and 4000K read cooler and are the usual pick for corridors, lobbies and commercial restrooms where you want a crisper light.
2) How do I order the right WAC Moonglow WS-85407 part number?
Build the number in three parts: base model WS-85407, then the color temperature code, then the finish code. That gives eight orderable combinations, from WS-85407-27-BK (2700K black) through WS-85407-40-WT (4000K white). Specify both codes on the purchase order. WS-85407 on its own is the family, not a shippable configuration.
3) What finishes is the WS-85407 Moonglow wall sconce available in?
Two finishes, black and white. Every color temperature is offered in both, so you can hold one finish across a whole floor and still change the light color between areas if you need to. The finish is the last segment of the part number, BK for black and WT for white, as in WS-85407-30-WT.
4) Can I match new WAC Moonglow sconces to ones already installed in my building?
Yes, if you order the same color temperature code. Mixing a 3000K unit next to a 4000K unit on the same wall will be obvious, so pull the code off an existing fixture's label and repeat it. Finish is the easier half: black and white are both offered in all four temperatures, so matching an existing black run means ordering BK with whichever temperature you already have.
5) Is the LED in the WS-85407 Moonglow sconce replaceable or is the color temperature fixed?
Color temperature is set when you order, not adjustable at the wall. There is no field-selectable CCT switch on the Moonglow; a 2700K unit stays 2700K. If a project spec changes mid job, that means a different part number rather than a setting change, so confirm the temperature before the order goes in on a large lot.
