1) Can the WAC Quade 52 inch ceiling fan be used on a covered porch or patio?
Covered outdoor spaces, yes. The Quade is UL and cUL Damp Location Listed, so it's fine on a covered porch, breezeway, or screened patio where it won't take direct rain. A damp rating does not cover wet locations, so an open deck or anywhere with direct exposure needs a wet-rated fan instead.
2) Will the Quade fan mount on a sloped ceiling?
Out of the box it handles slopes up to 32 degrees. Past that, up to 45 degrees, you add WAC's slope ceiling kit (ordered as SC plus the finish code) to match the fan. Flat ceilings need nothing extra.
3) Does the Quade ceiling fan come with a remote, or how do you control it?
No remote ships with it. Fan speed and the LED light are both run by pull chains, with three fan speeds. There's a memory feature, so switching it off and on at an ordinary single-pole wall switch brings the fan and light back to the last setting you used. The AC motor also works with third-party ceiling fan controls if you'd rather put it on a wall control.
4) Can you change the light color temperature on the WAC Quade fan?
Yes, the integrated LED light kit is field-selectable across 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 5000K, so one fan covers warm residential spaces and cooler commercial or outdoor-adjacent areas. Output runs 1991 to 2159 lumens at 90 CRI, directed downward.
5) What kind of dimmer works with the Quade fan's LED light?
The light kit is ELV dimmable and dims smoothly through its range. Use an ELV (electronic low voltage) dimmer, not a standard incandescent or TRIAC-only device, or you'll get flicker and drop-out. The pull chain switches the light independently of any dimmer.
6) Is the LED on this fan replaceable, or is the whole fan scrap when it fails?
The LED light kit is replaceable, which matters for a fleet of units you plan to maintain rather than swap. It's an LED module rather than a screw-in lamp, rated for 50,000 average hours at 46 watts on 120 volts.
7) Is this fan Title 24 compliant and does it meet ADA?

11) How much wire do I get for the downrod drop on the Quade fan?
80 inches of lead wire comes with the fan, which is enough for standard-length downrods on typical 8 to 10 foot ceilings. For long-drop installs in a high-ceiling lobby or stairwell, check that your extended downrod length stays within that wire.
