1) Can the WAC Stella 60 inch ceiling fan be installed on a covered patio or outdoors?
Yes. The Stella 60 inch fan carries a Wet location rating and is listed for indoor or outdoor use, so covered patios, porches, and pergolas are fair game, including spots that see blown rain. The blades are ABS and the housing is aluminum, both of which hold up better outside than a wood-blade fan.
2) Will the Stella smart fan mount on a vaulted or sloped ceiling?
Sloped ceilings are supported. The Stella is a downrod fan with a 6 inch canopy, and overall height is 14 inches as configured. On a steeper pitch or a tall ceiling you'll want a longer downrod than the one that ships with it to keep the blades clear of the slope.
3) Does this fan meet California Title 24 and Title 20 for a new build?
It does. The Stella is listed as Title 24 JA8-2016 CEC compliant and Title 20 compliant, and it's Energy Star rated. It also carries ETL, cETL, UL, cUL, and CSA Canada listings, which covers you on both sides of the border. ADA compliant as well.
4) What finishes does the Stella 3-blade fan come in?
Three: Matte Black (F-056-MB), Matte White (F-056-MW), and a two-tone Soft Brass with Matte Black (F-056-SB/MB). Blades are not reversible, so the finish you order is the face you see from below.
5) Do I need to order a separate remote or wall control for the Stella fan?
A remote comes in the box. The fan runs 6 speeds and the motor is reversible for winter updraft, so seasonal changeover is handled from the control rather than a slide switch on the motor housing.
6) How much lead wire is in the downrod for connecting at the junction box?
80 inches of wire is supplied, which gives plenty of slack for a standard downrod install and room to work at a 6 inch canopy without splicing in extra conductor.
