1) Can the WAC Zelda 60 inch ceiling fan be installed on a covered porch or patio?
Yes. The Zelda is rated for damp locations and listed for indoor or outdoor use, so a covered porch, patio, or breezeway where it won't take direct rain or spray is fine. It carries cUL/UL certification. For fully exposed, wind-driven rain locations you want a wet-rated fan instead.
2) Will the Zelda 60 inch fan work on a vaulted or sloped ceiling?
Yes, the Zelda is sloped ceiling compatible. It's a downrod-mount fan with a 7 inch canopy, and it ships with 80 inches of lead wire, so you have plenty of conductor to work with in a tall or angled canopy run. Overall fan height is 12.6 inches.
3) Does the Zelda smart fan come with a light, or do I buy the light kit separately?
The light kit is included and integrated. It's a single integrated LED module behind a frosted polycarbonate lens, downlight only, putting out 1600 lumens at 3000K warm white with a 50,000 hour rated life. There's no bulb to buy and no socket to relamp, so no separate kit purchase is needed.
4) Is a remote included with the WAC Zelda fan, or do I need a wall control?
A remote ships with the fan, so you can commission it without adding a separate control. The motor is a reversible DC type with six speeds, and the LED light is dimmable. Because speed and direction are handled electronically, do not put the fan's supply on a standard rotary or TRIAC light dimmer.
5) Does the Zelda ceiling fan meet California Title 24 and Title 20 requirements?
Yes on both. The Zelda is Title 24 compliant and Title 20 compliant, and it is Energy Star qualified, which is what a California spec or a utility rebate submittal usually asks for. It is also listed as ADA compliant.
