1) Can the WAC Loft ceiling fan be installed on a covered patio or other wet location?
Yes. The Loft 3-blade smart fan is rated for wet locations and listed for indoor or outdoor use, so covered patios, porches and poolside areas are fair game. It carries cUL/UL listing and is Energy Star qualified.
2) Will the WAC Loft fan mount on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
It is sloped ceiling compatible and it is a downrod fan, so it hangs from a rod rather than flush to the deck. Overall height is 12.9 inches and the canopy is 7 inches across. Longer downrods are ordered separately when the ceiling height calls for one.
3) Does the WAC Loft fan come with a light, or do I add a light kit?
The light kit is included, a single integrated LED behind frosted glass, aimed down. It puts out 1100 lumens at 3000K and draws 37W. There is no bulb to source, and no separate kit to order.
4) Is a remote included with the WAC Loft smart fan, or do I need a wall control?
A remote ships with the fan, so no separate control purchase is needed to run the six speeds or reverse the motor. The LED is dimmable as well.
5) Can the WAC Loft fan run in reverse for winter air circulation?
Yes, the DC motor is reversible, so you can run it forward for downdraft cooling in summer and reverse for destratification in winter. The blades themselves are not reversible, so the finish you pick is the finish you see year round.
