1) Can a door sweep with a neoprene insert be used on a fire rated door?
The Zero 539 sweep is fire rated to UL10C and has also been tested for smoke and draft control, so it belongs on a labeled opening where the door bottom has to be sealed. That combination is what an inspector looks for on a rated door, and it is why this one gets specified in place of a plain weather sweep.
2) What is the difference between the AA and black versions of the Zero 539 sweep?
