Yes. Both the body and the ground cone of the 5356SST6HT are 316 stainless steel, which is the grade specified for chloride exposure such as food processing washdown, wastewater plants, and coastal or marine installations. Plated steel or die cast zinc connectors do not hold up in those areas.

The connector includes an integral ground cone in 316 stainless, which bites the conduit armor to carry the bond through the fitting. That is the grounding path a liquidtight connector is built to provide. Whether the run also needs a separate equipment grounding conductor is decided by the circuit and the conduit type under the NEC, not by the fitting.

Use the 90 when the conduit has to turn immediately at the enclosure and there is not enough room to sweep the LFMC itself without going under its bend radius. The 5356SST6HT makes that turn inside the fitting so the whip leaves the box flat against the wall or equipment. If you have clearance to bend the conduit, a straight connector costs you less depth off the enclosure. Note the 90 is fixed, not adjustable.

For a wet location the enclosure side needs a sealing ring or gasket under the locknut to keep the connection liquidtight at the knockout. Match the hardware to the body: a 316 stainless locknut keeps the whole assembly at the same corrosion grade, since a plated steel locknut will rust first and become the weak point on a stainless installation.

Only for 1-1/2 inch 90 degree terminations. The 5356SST6HT covers that one combination of size and angle. A facility standardizing on 316 stainless liquidtight will also need the straight connectors and the smaller trade sizes from the same 5356SST series to cover every whip.
