1) Are these Metallics wood screws rated for exterior or wet locations?
No. The JFWP31 is steel with a zinc finish, which is a dry indoor plating. Zinc plated steel will rust in exterior, damp, or treated lumber contact. For outdoor strapping or pressure treated wood, use a stainless or hot dip galvanized wood screw instead.
