1) Can I use this MegaPressG tee on a black iron gas line?
It's built for it. MegaPressG fittings are the gas line of Viega's press system, and the 25471 body is carbon steel, which is what black iron and carbon steel pipe systems are run in. The two 2 inch ends press directly onto the pipe; the 1-1/4 inch branch is threaded, so that leg picks up with a standard male-threaded nipple.
2) Do I need anything besides the tee to land the 1-1/4 inch branch?
Yes. The branch is female thread, not a press socket, so you'll need a 1-1/4 inch male-threaded nipple or adapter plus thread sealant rated for the service. Only the two 2 inch ends connect with the press tool.
3) Is the Viega 25471 a full-size 2 inch tee or a reducing tee?
It reduces. Run is 2 inch by 2 inch, branch drops to 1-1/4 inch. If you need the branch to stay at 2 inch, this is the wrong part number and you want the straight 2 x 2 x 2 MegaPressG tee instead.
