1) Can I screw this Keystone 27W LED HID replacement lamp straight into my existing 100W metal halide fixture, or does the ballast have to go?
The Keystone KT-LED27PSHID-E26-8CSB-D is a ballast-bypass lamp. It runs on 120-277V line voltage, so the existing metal halide ballast has to be removed or bypassed and the E26 socket wired direct to line. It replaces a 100W metal halide lamp and uses an E26 medium screw base.
2) How do I set the wattage and color temperature on the Keystone Power Select / Color Select HID lamp?
Both are selected on the lamp itself before install, not ordered as separate part numbers. Power Select gives 27W, 22W or 18W, and Color Select gives 3000K, 4000K or 5000K. 3) How much light do I actually get at each wattage setting on this 27W LED HID replacement?
Output runs 3500, 3900 and 3800 lumens across the three Power Select settings, so the highest setting is not the brightest one. The middle setting is the peak. If you are chasing maximum light on a warehouse aisle, set it there and take the lower draw as a bonus. CRI is greater than 80 at all settings.
4) Will this LED HID lamp work in a parking garage or wallpack running on 277 volts?
