Metallics MWRC34 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does a wire rope clip like the MWRC34 actually do on a cable run?
A wire rope clip forms a termination: the cable is looped back on itself and the clip's saddle and U-bolt clamp the live end to the dead end, holding the eye. It is the fitting used to terminate guy wires, messenger cable, and overhead support lines in the field without a swaging tool. The MWRC34 handles 3/4 inch cable and is galvanized for outdoor runs. More than one clip is normally used per termination, so order quantity accordingly.
2) What is the manufacturer part number for the 3/4 inch Metallics galvanized wire rope clip?
Order it as Metallics MWRC34. That one part number covers the 3/4 inch galvanized clip; there are no finish or size options to specify with it.
