1) What thread does the Metallics JFM66 machine screw take, and will it run into a standard 3/8-16 tapped hole?
It's a 3/8-16 UNC thread, 16 threads per inch, made to ANSI/ASME B1.1. That means it runs into any standard 3/8-16 coarse tapped hole or nut, including the tapped holes you find in steel boxes, strut fittings and panel enclosures. It will not fit a 3/8-24 fine thread hole.
2) Does the flat head on the JFM66 sit flush, and what countersink does it need?
Yes, it's a flat countersunk head with a slotted drive, so it seats flush in an 82 degree countersink. The head measures 0.67 to 0.717 in. across and 0.2 to 0.23 in. high, so your countersink needs to be at least that diameter and deep enough to swallow that head height if you want a truly flush face. Head geometry follows ASME B18.6.3-1998.
3) How is the JFM66 screw sold, and can I buy just a few?
