1) Is the 5351SST6HT fitting stainless steel all the way through, or just the body?
Both the body and the ground cone are 316 stainless steel. That matters because the ground cone is the part that bites into the conduit armor to carry the bond, and a plated or dissimilar-metal cone in a corrosive area is where these fittings usually fail first. With 316 on both, the whole current path through the fitting is the same corrosion-resistant alloy.
2) Will a 316 stainless liquidtight fitting hold up in a washdown or coastal environment?
316 stainless is the alloy specified for chloride exposure, which is why it gets used in food and beverage washdown areas, wastewater plants, marine and coastal installs, and chemical process areas where 304 or zinc-plated steel pits. The 5351SST6HT uses 316 for the body and the ground cone.
