The ITCSN-1100 covers 2 AWG through 4/0 AWG cable. It goes on with a 1.1 inch (27.9 mm) expanded inner diameter and recovers down to 0.37 inch (9.4 mm), so it will grip well under the connector as well as over it. Anything larger than 4/0 needs the next size up in the ITCSN family.

Its strengths are outdoor, buried, and enclosure work: abrasion, corrosion, and chemical resistance with a moisture seal. If your spec calls out flame retardancy, choose a flame-retardant heat shrink instead.
5) How much heat does it take to shrink the ITCSN-1100, and can I use a heat gun?
Minimum shrink temperature is 250 F (121 C), so a standard electrical heat gun or a torch with a soft flame will recover it. Work the heat around the circumference from the center out so the adhesive flows toward both ends. Note it is a non-flame-retardant polyolefin, so keep an open flame moving and off the finished surface.
6) Is a 6 inch sleeve long enough to cover a 4/0 compression splice?
Each ITCSN-1100 sleeve is 6.0 inches (152 mm) long before shrinking, and it shrinks in diameter, not appreciably in usable length. For a standard compression connector on 2 to 4/0 cable that leaves overlap onto the jacket at both ends, which is what the adhesive needs to seal against. For a long inline barrel or a lug with a deep palm, plan on a longer sleeve or a second piece.
7) What temperature range can this heat shrink sleeve live in once installed?
Continuous service runs from -67 F to 230 F (-55 C to 100 C). That covers outdoor pedestal and vault work in cold climates as well as warm conduit runs. It is not a high-temperature engine or exhaust-adjacent product.
