Hammond Manufacturing C3R12126HCR 3R HINGE COV 12X12X6 - 12 x 12 x 6

It is a 12 x 12 x 6 inch box: 12 inch height, 12 inch width, 6 inch depth. The 6 inch depth is what gives you room behind a mounted panel for breakers, terminal blocks or a small drive, so check your deepest component plus wire bending space before committing to this size.

No. A panel is available for this enclosure but is sold separately, so order it as a separate line if you plan to mount components inside. The box itself ships as the enclosure with its hinged cover.

Yes. The C3R12126HCR is built to both UL and CSA standards, under UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LL21312. Those file numbers are what an electrical inspector or a spec reviewer will want to see referenced on a submittal.

Galvanized steel. The zinc coating is what carries it in outdoor Type 3R service, and it takes paint well if you need to match a building color. For coastal, chemical or wash-down environments, stainless or a non-metallic enclosure is the better call.

A hinged cover stays attached to the box, so on an outdoor or overhead install you are not juggling a loose lid and a handful of screws on a ladder, and it makes routine service faster. Screw cover boxes are the choice where the enclosure is rarely opened or where a fully removable cover makes initial wiring easier. The C3R12126HCR is the hinged cover version in 12 x 12 x 6 inches.

Hammond Manufacturing C3R12126HCR. The number reads out as it is built: C3R for the Type 3R hinged cover series, then 12126 for the 12 x 12 x 6 inch dimensions. If you need a different size in the same family, only that dimension block changes.

13 lbs empty. Add the back panel and whatever you mount on it, so anchor into studs, strut or masonry rather than hollow drywall anchors if it is going on a wall.

It is both RoHS and REACH compliant, and it is made in Canada. It is also USMCA compliant, which matters if you are buying against a domestic-preference or trade-agreement clause on a government or institutional contract.
