Metallics CTKS1UV – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Are the ties in the Metallics CTKS1UV kit rated for outdoor or sunlight exposure?
Yes. The CTKS1UV kit ships with black UV-rated ties, which is the combination specified for exposed and outdoor work where sunlight would make a natural nylon tie go brittle and snap. Black plus UV stabilizer is what you want on rooftop conduit runs, exterior fixtures and anything in a sunlit mechanical yard.
2) What lengths of cable ties come in the Metallics CTKS1UV kit?
The CTKS1UV assortment kit covers three cable tie lengths: 4 inch, 7 inch and 11 inch. That range handles everything from bundling a few low-voltage conductors to gathering a larger run of branch-circuit wiring, so one kit on the truck covers most pulls without carrying three separate bags.
3) Is the Metallics CTKS1UV sold as a single assortment kit or as individual tie packs?
It is one kit, ordered under a single model, CTKS1UV, with the 4, 7 and 11 inch black UV ties included together. There are no size or color choices to specify when ordering, so a purchasing agent stocking a maintenance shop or a job trailer orders the one part number rather than building an assortment from separate lines.
