1) What size PEX and copper does the Viega 92441 stub-out connect to?
The Viega 92441 PureFlow stub-out ell is a 3/4 inch press connection on one end and a 3/4 inch FTG (fitting) end on the other, so it presses onto 3/4 inch PEX tubing and the FTG leg slips into a 3/4 inch copper fitting socket. Both ends are 3/4 inch, so there is no reducing built into this part.
2) How far does the Viega 92441 stub-out extend out of the wall?
The two legs measure 3-1/2 inches and 8 inches. The 8 inch leg is the long run that anchors back in the stud bay and the 3-1/2 inch leg is the short one, which is what gives you the stub through the finished wall for a supply stop. If your rough-in needs more projection than that, this is not the part to use.
3) Can I solder the Viega 92441 stub-out instead of pressing it?
Only on one end. The FTG leg is a copper fitting end that can be joined to copper the way any copper socket joint is made. The other end is a Viega PureFlow press connection for PEX and is made with a press tool, not a torch. Never heat the press end.
