Before pressing, check the pipe end is cut square and deburred, since a burr can roll or cut that seal.

Smart Connect is Viega's feature that lets an unpressed connection be identified during pressure testing, so a missed joint shows itself before the system is put in service. It does not change the install sequence on the 95675: cut and deburr the pipe, mark insertion depth, seat the pipe fully in the 2 inch press socket, and press with the matching jaw. Still walk the run and pressure test, because that is how the feature does its job.
