No power run is needed. The Clean IR is battery operated on a CR-P2 lithium cell that is included, and the electronics sit inside the faucet body rather than in a separate under-sink control box. There is a lever handle on the faucet used to set the temperature you want; the infrared sensor then just starts and stops flow at that setting. So it runs off hot and cold supplies like a normal faucet, and the user is not locked into a fixed tempered mix.

American Standard rates the long-life CR-P2 lithium cell at 7 years based on 150 activations per day. For a housekeeping schedule, that means a public restroom lavatory at moderate traffic is a once-per-lease-cycle battery swap, not an annual one. Heavier traffic will shorten it proportionally.

0.1 gallons per washing cycle, with the faucet cutting off after a maximum running time of 12 seconds per cycle. The timeout is what protects you from a sensor that gets held open by a bag on the counter or a stuck reflection, so it matters as much for flooding risk as for water budget.

The Clean IR has a cleaning mode. Hold a finger against the sensor until it gives a series of short flashes; water then shuts off and the sensor flashes for three minutes while you wipe the faucet down. Worth putting in the janitorial SOP, because without it a crew ends up fighting the sensor every night.

A push drain is included in the box along with the battery and the deck plate. You still supply your own supply lines or risers to match the stops under the lavatory.
