American Standard Retrospect Console Table - AMS-8711000

It is built around the Retrospect Collection top and is design-matched to Retrospect fixtures. Pedestal tops from other American Standard collections have different footprints and mounting, so pair the console legs with the Retrospect top rather than trying to adapt another basin.

The pedestal top used with these console legs is the Retrospect version drilled for 8 inch faucet holes, so specify a widespread faucet. A centerset or single-hole faucet will not line up.

Nominal size is 27 x 19-3/4 x 36 inches (686 x 502 x 914 mm). At 36 inches overall height it sits taller than a standard 31 to 32 inch vanity, which matters if you are matching adjacent casework or planning mirror and sconce layout in a powder room.

Chrome, ordered as 8711000.002. That is the only finish the console legs are made in, so a brushed nickel or bronze scheme means pairing the chrome frame with a non-matching faucet or choosing a different console.

No. The console legs have integral towel bars on the front and both sides, so a small powder room gets hanging space without drilling tile for a separate bar. Useful in hospitality and multi-family where wall-mounted accessories get pulled off the substrate.

A pedestal hides the trap behind a single column and gives you nothing to set anything on. The Retrospect console keeps the open, period look but adds four legs, a lower tempered glass shelf, and towel bars on three sides. Pick the console when the room has no other storage or towel location; pick the plain pedestal when floor space is tight and you want the smallest footprint.

Yes. The console is open underneath with a glass shelf below the basin, so the P-trap and stops are in plain view. Order chrome-plated supplies and a chrome trap to match the legs, and rough the waste and supplies in neatly, because nothing is concealed.
