Blanco 221013 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Blanco 221013 sink grid fit any Blanco sink, or only the Precis bar sink?
The 221013 grid is custom-fitted to the BLANCO PRECIS Bar Sink only. Blanco builds each grid to the exact bowl footprint of a specific model, so putting it in a different bowl leaves it rocking or wedged, and the rear drain cutout will not line up with the drain. If your bowl is a different Blanco model, order the grid built for that model instead.
2) Does the Blanco Precis bar sink grid block access to the drain?
No. The grid has a rear drain opening, so the drain and basket strainer stay reachable with the grid sitting in the bowl. You don't have to lift it out to clear the drain or pull the stopper.
3) Will a stainless sink grid scratch or mark the bottom of the sink?
The 221013 grid is fitted with non-skid protective feet and side bumpers, so the stainless frame doesn't ride directly on the bowl surface or knock against the side walls. The feet also hold it up off the base so water drains underneath rather than pooling under the grid.
4) What is the part number to order the Blanco Precis bar sink grid?
Blanco 221013, in stainless steel. That is the manufacturer part number to quote when matching a grid to a PRECIS bar sink bowl.
5) What is the Blanco sink grid actually for in a rental or commercial kitchen?
It sits in the bottom of the bowl as a barrier between the sink surface and cookware, dishes and utensils, which is the main source of wear in a heavily used bowl. Second use is as an in-sink drying rack for glassware, plates and utensils. For property managers, it is a cheap way to slow down cosmetic damage to the sink between turnovers.
6) Can I combine this bottom grid with other Blanco sink accessories?
Yes. The 221013 is a bottom grid, sitting on the base of the bowl, so it works alongside BLANCO's floating grids, colanders and cutting boards that sit at or above the rim. If what you actually want is a rack that spans the top of the bowl, a floating grid is the piece to look at, not this one.
