Blanco 236594 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Blanco sink does the 236594 grid actually fit?
The Blanco 236594 grid is custom-fitted to the BLANCO PRECIS 25 inch ADA kitchen sink. It is cut to that specific bowl shape, so it is not a general-purpose grid for other bowl sizes or other Blanco series. If your sink is a different Precis model or a different line, you need the grid built for that bowl.
2) Will a stainless grid scratch or chip the sink it sits in?
The 236594 is built to prevent that. It carries non-skid protective feet on the bottom and bumpers on the sides, so the stainless frame does not ride directly on the sink surface or slide against the walls when you drop a pot in.
3) Will a sink grid block access to the drain in a Precis ADA sink?
No. The 236594 has a rear drain opening, so the drain stays reachable with the grid sitting in the bowl, and water drains underneath the rack rather than pooling on it.
4) Is the Blanco 236594 grid rust resistant for hard daily use in a rental or commercial kitchen?
It is made from stainless steel and described as corrosion resistant, which is what you want for constant wet duty. It is also dishwasher safe, so maintenance staff can run it through a cycle rather than scrubbing it in place.
5) What does a bottom sink grid do that a floating grid or a colander does not?
A bottom grid like the 236594 sits on the floor of the bowl and takes the impact of cookware and utensils, protecting the sink surface while letting water run underneath. It doubles as an in-sink drying rack for glassware, plates and utensils. A floating grid, colander or cutting board instead works across the rim of the bowl as a prep or straining surface. Blanco sells those as separate accessories, and they are meant to be combined with the bottom grid rather than replace it.
6) Is anything besides the grid needed to install the Blanco 236594?
Nothing. The grid is a drop-in accessory, it just sits in the bowl on its own feet. There is no mounting hardware, no drilling and no plumbing work involved.
7) What finish does the Blanco 236594 grid come in?
Stainless steel is the only finish offered on the 236594. If you are standardizing across a run of Precis ADA sinks in a multi-family or hospitality build, every unit will match.
