Blanco 233535 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Blanco sink does the 233535 floating grid fit?
The Blanco 233535 grid is custom-fitted to the BLANCO PRECIS 32 inch SUPER SINGLE kitchen sink. It is sized to that bowl specifically (9.88 inches L x 16 inches W), so it will not sit correctly in a different Precis bowl size or a double-bowl model. If your sink is a Precis but not the 32 inch super single, you need the grid cut for that bowl instead.
2) How is a floating sink grid different from a regular bottom grid that rests on the sink floor?
A standard bottom grid sits flat on the sink floor to protect the surface. The Blanco Precis floating grid instead suspends 5 inches above the sink bottom, giving you a second working level for rinsing and prepping while the drain area stays clear underneath. It is rated to carry heavy pots and pans at that height. If all you want is scratch protection at the base of the bowl, a conventional bottom grid is the simpler choice.
3) Will the Blanco 233535 grid scratch my sink or slide around when I set a pot on it?
It is built with non-skid protective feet and side bumpers, which keep it from shifting in the bowl and keep the stainless from contacting the sink surface directly. That matters on a Precis bowl, which is a composite material rather than steel.
4) Can I set a hot pan straight out of the oven on this Blanco grid?
Yes. The Precis floating grid is heat-resistant stainless steel and Blanco lists countertop trivet use for hot pots and pans as an intended application, so you can pull it out of the sink and use it on the counter.
5) How do you clean the Blanco Precis floating grid?
It goes in the dishwasher. The grid is stainless steel and listed as dishwasher safe, so for a rental unit or a commercial kitchen where staff turn over, cleaning is not a special procedure.
