1) Does the Blanco Precis 25 inch single bowl sink meet ADA requirements for a wheelchair-accessible kitchen?
Yes. The Precis PRE442ADA is built as an ADA-compliant sink: the bowl depth is held to 5 inches so a seated user can reach the bottom, and the drain hole sits toward the rear of the bowl so the trap and tailpiece move back and leave knee clearance under the counter. That combination is what makes it usable in an accessible kitchen, an accessible unit in multi-family, or a common-area kitchenette.
2) Is the Blanco Precis ADA sink an undermount or a drop-in?
Undermount only. The Precis ADA bowl mounts beneath the countertop, so the counter edge runs straight over the sink opening with no rim sitting on the deck. That means it needs a solid-surface, quartz, granite or similar countertop that can be cut and polished for an undermount, plus clips or brackets and adhesive per the fabricator. It will not work as a self-rimming drop-in on a laminate deck.
3) Does the Blanco Precis ADA sink come with a drain assembly or basket strainer?
No. The basket strainer is sold separately, so budget a strainer and the tailpiece, trap and supply work as part of the rough-in. On an ADA install remember the trap has to be offset to the rear to keep the knee space open, and any exposed drain piping under an accessible sink normally needs to be insulated or otherwise protected against contact.
4) What is a SILGRANIT sink actually made of, and will it hold up in a rental or commercial kitchenette?
SILGRANIT is a composite built around quartz sand, the hardest component of natural granite. The surface is non-porous and smooth, so it resists staining from food and drink, and scuff marks left by pots and utensils wipe off. Blanco rates the material to take heavy cookware and hot bakeware. For property managers turning units or specifying kitchenettes, that is the appeal over a thin stainless bowl: no pitting, no water spotting, and low-maintenance cleaning.
5) What accessories fit the Blanco Precis 25 inch ADA sink?
Three optional pieces are made for this bowl: a bottom grid, item 236594, a foldable grid, item 238483, and a glass cutting board, item 224390. The grid protects the bowl floor under heavy pots; the cutting board bridges the bowl to add prep surface, which is useful in a small accessible kitchen where counter run is limited. None of the three ships with the sink.
6) Will a standard kitchen faucet work with the Precis ADA sink, or does the faucet mount on the sink?
The faucet does not mount to the sink. Because the Precis ADA bowl is an undermount, there is no deck and no faucet holes in the sink itself, so the faucet drills into the countertop behind the bowl. That gives you free choice of hole count and spacing at the fabricator. Blanco pitches pairing it with a Blanco faucet and accessories as a matched BLANCO UNIT, but any countertop-mounted faucet works.
7) Why is the Precis ADA sink shallower than a regular Precis single bowl, and does that cost me capacity?
The 5 inch depth is deliberate. A standard kitchen bowl runs deeper, which puts the bottom out of reach for someone seated and drops the trap into the knee space. Holding the Precis ADA at 5 inches keeps the bottom within reach and the plumbing high. You do lose volume compared with a deep bowl, which is why the design compensates with a wide, uninterrupted single bowl rather than a divided one, so long pans and sheet trays still lay flat. If the opening does not need to be accessible, a deeper standard-depth bowl is the better pick.
