TOTO PJY1724PWEU#GW – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the TOTO PJY1724 Flotation tub come with a faucet or tub filler?
No filler is included. The PJY1724 soaker tub ships as the tub only, so a tub filler has to be ordered separately, and no heater is included either. Budget the deck-mount or floor-mount filler and its rough-in valve as a separate line on the job.
2) What are the basin dimensions on the TOTO PJY1724 Flotation tub?
The basin measures 50.08, 24.73 and 17.72 inches (depth, length and width as TOTO states them), in a rectangular shape. Lay those against your alcove or open floor area before framing, and remember the tub is marble-based, so it cannot be trimmed on site the way a fiberglass unit can.
3) How deep is the water in the TOTO PJY1724 tub before it hits the overflow?
Water sits 14.625 inches deep at the overflow. That is a genuine soaking depth for a rectangular tub, and it is the number to use when sizing the water heater, not the 67.5 gallon full capacity figure.
4) Is the TOTO Flotation tub safe for an older or accessible bathroom?
The bathing surface is slip resistant, which is the feature that matters most for entry and exit. It is a deep soaker though, not a walk-in or a low-threshold unit, so for a resident with limited mobility the depth works against you even with the slip-resistant floor. For assisted-living or aging-in-place work, look at a low-entry bathing fixture instead.
5) What finish and part number do I order for the TOTO Flotation soaker tub?
One configuration is sold: gloss white, ordered as TOTO PJY1724PWEU#GW. The #GW suffix is the gloss white finish code, so there is no separate finish decision to make on the order form.
6) What is RECLINE COMFORT on the TOTO Flotation tub actually doing?
RECLINE COMFORT is the shaping of the bathing well: it combines a floating sensation with stability and a sense of being enveloped, paired with a deep well. Practically, it means the back and shoulder contour is fixed by the shell, so the bather is supported without a pillow accessory.
