TOTO THP5264#BN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the TOTO THP5264#BN diverter do?
THP5264#BN is TOTO's 3-way with off diverter trim. The three-way action means it feeds up to three outlets, for example a showerhead, a hand shower and a tub spout, and the off position shuts flow at the diverter itself rather than at the volume control. It is catalogued for shower and tub use.
2) What finish is TOTO THP5264#BN and will it match other TOTO brushed nickel shower trim?
The #BN suffix on the TOTO part number is brushed nickel, so THP5264#BN matches other TOTO shower and tub trim ordered with the same #BN finish code. If the rest of the valve trim, showerhead or tub spout in the opening carries a different TOTO suffix, the finishes will not match.
3) Do I need a 3-way diverter with off, or will a standard 2-way diverter do the job?
Go to the 3-way with off version when the shower has three outlets to serve, such as a showerhead plus a hand shower plus body sprays or a tub spout, and you want the diverter to be able to close everything down on its own. A two-way diverter only swaps between two outlets and stays open to one of them at all times. THP5264#BN is the 3-way with off trim.
4) Can the TOTO THP5264#BN diverter trim be used on a tub and shower combination?
Yes. The trim is listed for shower and tub service, so it can direct flow between a tub spout and shower outlets in a combination bath, as long as the diverter valve body already installed behind the wall is the one this trim fits.
