Toto THERMO MIX VAL DIV ADA HANDLE THP5467#PFG

THP5467#PFG is a TOTO thermostatic mixing valve with a diverter and an ADA-style lever handle, used on shower and tub installations. The thermostatic cartridge holds the outlet temperature where it is set as supply pressures shift, and the diverter sends water between two outlets such as a showerhead and a tub spout or handshower.

No separate diverter is needed. The diverter function is built into this TOTO thermostatic mixing valve, so one control handles both temperature and outlet selection. That keeps the wall to a single opening instead of adding a second rough-in for a standalone diverter.

It is ordered as a TOTO thermostatic mixing valve part under the THP prefix, which is TOTO's designation for valve and trim service parts rather than a packaged shower kit. Plan on confirming the rough-in valve body already in the wall is the matching TOTO thermostatic body before you order it as a replacement.

A lever-style ADA handle is what this part carries. For facilities standardizing on ADA-compliant controls, that matters: a lever can be operated without tight grasping or twisting of the wrist, which is why spec writers call for it in accessible guest rooms, patient rooms, and public restrooms.

On TOTO part numbers the code after the hash mark is the finish. THP5467#PFG is the PFG finish variant of the THP5467 thermostatic mixing valve with diverter, so if you are matching other trim in the same bath, order the suffix that matches the rest of the TOTO trim already installed.

Both control scald risk, but differently. A pressure balance valve reacts to a pressure drop on one supply and throttles the other; a thermostatic valve, like the THP5467 type, senses outlet temperature and modulates to hold the setting, which keeps temperature steadier in buildings where multiple fixtures draw at once. In multi-family and hospitality work that is the usual reason thermostatic gets specified. A thermostatic valve with a diverter also lets you run a showerhead and a tub spout or handshower off the same control.

It is catalogued for shower and tub service, and the diverter is there to feed two outlets. On a shower-only opening with a single head you do not need the diverter, and a straight thermostatic valve without one is the simpler order. The diverter version makes sense when you have a showerhead plus a handshower, body sprays, or a tub spout.
