ABUS K900 Safety Lockout Tagout Basic Pouch Kit

The K900 basic pouch kit ships with two 74/40 padlocks, one 1 inch hasp, one 1-1/2 inch hasp, one breaker lockout, three tags, three ties, and one small pouch. That's enough to cover a two-person lockout on a single piece of equipment or an electrical breaker, with the pouch sized to ride on a belt or live in a truck box.

Two, using the padlocks supplied. The kit includes two 74/40 padlocks plus a 1 inch and a 1-1/2 inch hasp, and the hasps are what let more than one lock go on the same point. The hasp jaws accept additional padlocks beyond the two in the kit, so if your crew runs four or six people on the same isolation point you order extra padlocks separately and use the larger 1-1/2 inch hasp.

They're made to. The tags are unrippable vinyl with a matte surface that holds up to moisture, so a damp mechanical room, an exterior disconnect, or a food plant washdown area won't turn them to pulp the way a card stock tag would. The matte face is also what lets you write on them legibly.

Yes. One breaker lockout device is packed in the kit alongside the two padlocks and two hasps, so a single-pole breaker can be isolated and locked without buying a separate device. For panels with multiple breakers, or for larger three-phase breaker bodies, you'd add more breaker lockouts to the kit.

For a one- or two-person lockout on a single point, no; the K900 arrives with padlocks, hasps, a breaker lockout, tags, ties, and the pouch. What it does not carry is valve lockouts, plug lockouts, or cable lockouts, so if your isolation points include ball valves, gate valves, or cord-and-plug equipment, you'll want those devices in addition. Extra padlocks are also worth adding if more than two people work the same lock point.

Commercial. The K900 is catalogued for commercial use and is built around OSHA-style lockout tagout practice for facility maintenance, contractors, and plant MRO crews, not for residential use.

Plastic is the primary substrate for the kit's components, with the tags specifically called out as recycled plastic, high quality, made in the USA. Non-conductive plastic is the reason a lockout kit is safe to hang on live electrical gear during isolation.
