ABUS K915 Safety Lockout Tagout Deluxe Pouch Kit

The K915 Deluxe Pouch Kit ships with two 74/40 padlocks and two 74HB/40 padlocks, two 1 inch hasps and two 1-1/2 inch hasps, three breaker lockouts, one wall switch lockout, one gate valve lockout sized for 2-1/2 inch to 5 inch handwheels, a large plug lockout, a small plug lockout, 10 tags, 10 ties, and the lockout bag itself. It is a complete starter set for one or two authorized employees rather than a single-device lockout.

The gate valve lockout supplied covers handwheels from 2-1/2 inches to 5 inches in diameter. Measure the wheel, not the pipe. Anything smaller than 2-1/2 inches or larger than 5 inches needs a different size cover, and ball valves or butterfly handles need a lever style lockout instead, which is not part of this kit.

Four padlocks come in the kit, two 74/40 and two 74HB/40, so it covers group lockout for up to four locking points or four authorized employees at one time. If your procedure requires every affected worker to apply their own lock to a single energy isolation point, you will need a group lockout hasp plus additional padlocks beyond the four 1 inch and 1-1/2 inch hasps supplied.

Both are 40mm body ABUS safety padlocks. The HB in 74HB/40 designates the tall (high) shackle version, which gives extra clearance for reaching through a hasp eye, a scissor hasp with several locks already on it, or a breaker lockout with a thicker body. The standard 74/40 has the shorter shackle for tight isolation points. The K915 kit includes two of each so you are covered either way.

Yes for common breaker isolation. Three breaker lockouts and one wall switch lockout are included, along with large and small plug lockouts for cord and plug connected equipment. Combined with the four padlocks, that covers panel breakers, a switch, and plug isolation. It does not include a group lockout box or a circuit breaker lockout for oversized or bolt-on breakers.

The tags are unrippable vinyl with a matte surface that stands up to moisture, so they hold up in washdown areas, mechanical rooms, and outdoor isolation points. Ten tags and ten nylon ties are supplied. The matte face is what lets you write on them legibly in the field.

It is a commercial grade kit, built for facility maintenance, MRO, and contractor crews performing energy isolation on plant and building equipment. The lockout devices are plastic bodied, which keeps them non-conductive for electrical work.

Everything ships in a soft lockout bag rather than a hard case or a wall station, so it travels with the technician to the equipment. That makes it a good fit for a service van or a roving maintenance tech; if you want lockout gear staged permanently at a panel or a machine, a wall mounted station is the better format.
