ACSI Series 1400 Power Supplies are designed to provide power/control to electrified door hardware. The Class 2 rated outputs feature overload, over voltage, and short circuit protection. ACSI Series 1400 products are UL Listed and tested to UL 294 standard.

1406/1426 Power Supplies

ACSI 1406 and 1426 Power Supplies are designed to operate exit devices equipped with ACSI Series 1550 Electric Latch Retraction (required with 1550 Electric Solenoid Latch Retraction).
Provides a separate input for retracting one exit device or two exit devices sequentially without activating the automatic door operator. While the latches are held retracted, the auto-operator can be activated independently from a different input.

1406BB/1426BB Power Supplies with Battery Backup
All the same features as above, but includes built-in battery backup power.
• 4 hours of backup power at full load during AC power failure.
• Standby battery power with a supervised AC failure output and low battery output.
• Supplied with (2) 12V, 7Ah lead acid batteries.

1) What does the ACSI 1426 power supply actually run?

The 1550 solenoid latch retraction hardware requires this kind of supply to drive it, so the 1426 is the power/control side of an electrified exit device opening, not a general purpose access control supply.
2) Can one ACSI 1426 control a pair of doors, or do I need two supplies?
One 1426 handles two devices. You can set it for independent control of single exit devices from separate inputs (one or two single doors), or for sequential operation of two exit devices from a single input, which is the setup for a pair of doors. Sequencing matters on a pair so both latches don't pull at the same instant.
3) Do I order the ACSI 1426 in 12VDC or 24VDC?
Both are offered, so match the supply to the latch retraction hardware and any auxiliary devices you're powering. The 1426 is a 12/24VDC unit with constant voltage outputs rated 250mA each, with 2A total load capacity on the supply.
4) Will the ACSI 1426 tie into an automatic door operator and the building fire alarm?
Both interfaces are built in. There's an automatic door operator interface and a fire alarm interface on the 1426. It also gives you a separate input that retracts one device, or two sequentially, WITHOUT triggering the auto operator, and while the latches are held retracted the operator can still be fired independently from a different input. That separation is what lets you hold latches open during business hours without swinging the doors.
5) What happens to my latch retraction doors if building power drops?
The standard 1426 has no onboard batteries. If you need the opening to keep working through an outage, order the 1426BB version, which adds built-in battery backup with 4 hours of power at full load, a supervised AC failure output and a low battery output, and ships with two 12V 7Ah sealed lead acid batteries.
6) Is the ACSI 1426 UL Listed for access control?
