1) Will the ACSI 1440 power supply run a fail safe electric strike and a fail secure one at the same time?
The ACSI 1440 supplies power for both fail safe and fail secure locking devices, and it has surge suppression on the fail safe and fail secure outputs. Output is filtered and regulated 24VDC, Class 2 rated, with 2A of load capacity, so size your lock draw against that 2A ceiling before you hang multiple devices off it.
2) What is the difference between the ACSI 1440 and the 1440-TD?
TD is the adjustable time delay option, adjustable from 1 second to 60 minutes. The base 1440 has no delay, so the lock follows the control switch directly. Order the 1440-TD when you need the door to stay unlocked for a set period after a button press or card read.
3) Can I power a keypad or motion sensor off the ACSI 1440, or do I need a second supply?
No second supply needed for small standalone devices. Each 1440 includes an auxiliary 24VDC constant voltage output intended for keypads, motion detectors, status indicators and similar. That auxiliary output stays live independent of the lock switching.
4) Does the ACSI 1440 have a fire alarm interface for releasing locked egress doors?
Yes, the 1440 carries a fire alarm relay, which is what lets the alarm system drop power to a fail safe lock on an egress opening. It is a UL Listed unit tested to the UL 294 access control standard.
