1) Will the Adams Rite 3080E entry trim work on a narrow stile aluminum storefront door?
Narrow stile aluminum doors are exactly what the 3080E trim is built for. It mounts to Adams Rite deadlocks, deadlatches, and exit devices in that kind of door, so if you have an aluminum storefront leaf with a slim lock stile, this is the right family of trim. On a wide stile hollow metal or wood door with a mortise or cylindrical lock, it is the wrong trim.
2) What happens to the Adams Rite 3080E trim when the power drops out?
It stays locked. The 3080E in this configuration is fail secure, so pulling 24VDC leaves the outside lever locked and entry is by key through the cylinder. That is the usual choice for a perimeter or tenant entrance where you do not want the door to free up in a power cut. If your opening needs to release on power loss (some stair or egress-side applications do), fail secure is not what you want and you should specify a fail safe trim instead.

The trim is the door side device: a reader or access control panel switches the 24VDC to it, the trim unlocks the outside lever, and the key cylinder gives staff a mechanical override when the system is down.
