1) Will the Adams Rite MS4002 armored strike work with my MS deadlock, or do I need to match the bolt throw?
Bolt throw decides it. The MS4002 is ordered against one of three deadlock groups: all standard MS locks with a 1-3/8 inch bolt throw, the 1850A-020 with a 3/4 inch throw only, or all MS-050 hookbolt locks. Pick the wrong group and the bolt will not engage the pocket correctly. Check the throw stamped on your existing deadlock before you order.
2) Do I need a left-hand or right-hand version of the Adams Rite MS4002 strike?
