1) Will the Securitron ZA-32/62 Z-bracket work with my M62 Magnalock on an inswing door?
That's exactly the application. The ZA-32/62 adjustable Z-bracket is made for Securitron M32 and M62 Magnalocks mounted on inswing doors, using the "F" type Magnalock at 8.5 inch overall length. On an inswing opening the armature has to be carried out from the door face to meet the lock body, and the Z-bracket is the part that does it. If your magnet is an outswing installation, this is not the bracket you want.
2) How much adjustment does the Securitron adjustable Z-bracket give me if my door and header gap is off?
1.25 inches of lateral movement, adjustable from 2-1/4 inches to 3-1/2 inches off the door or header. That range is the reason to pick the adjustable version over a fixed bracket: you can set the armature position on site after the frame is up, instead of measuring first and hoping the opening matches. If your required offset falls outside 2-1/4 to 3-1/2 inches, this bracket won't reach.
3) Do I need to buy a separate cover for the Securitron ZA-32/62 bracket?
No, an oversized dress cover comes with the ZA-32/62. That matters on the adjustable version specifically, since the bracket can sit anywhere across its 1.25 inch travel and the oversized cover hides the mounting slots wherever you end up setting it. The magnet itself is ordered separately.

Pick the finish on the frame, not the door leaf, since the bracket mounts up at the header.
5) Is a Z-bracket the same thing as a door closer parallel arm bracket?
No, and they are not interchangeable. The Securitron ZA-32/62 is a mounting bracket for an electromagnetic lock armature on an inswing door, carrying the armature 2-1/4 to 3-1/2 inches off the door or header. A parallel arm bracket, such as the Corbin Russwin 615F5 or 188F41, is a door closer part that mounts the closer arm to the frame soffit. Different hardware, different function. If you're chasing a closer problem, the Z-bracket does nothing for you.
6) Is the Securitron Z-bracket a commercial-duty part or is it for residential gates and cabinets?
Commercial. The ZA-32/62 is a commercial door hardware accessory, sold as a replacement part for M32 and M62 Magnalock installations. Property managers replacing a damaged or missing bracket on an existing mag lock opening can order this on its own without touching the magnet.
